The wait ended this morning. All nine Punjab boards declared the 1st year result 2026 today, Thursday 22 October, at 10:00 AM, and lakhs of students checked their marks within the first hour. Right after the marks, one search is everywhere: who are the position holders? If that is exactly what you came for, this page gives you the complete and correct picture — no rumours, no copied lists, just the verified facts for every board.
Are There Official 11th Class Position Holders in 2026?
Here is the honest answer first, because many websites will not tell you this: Punjab boards do not announce official positions for the 11th class. There is no official 1st year toppers list for BISE Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, DG Khan or Sahiwal — and there never has been one for Part-I alone.
Positions in the Punjab board system are announced only once, on the final intermediate result. That is when your 11th class and 12th class marks are combined out of 1,200, and the board declares overall and group-wise position holders a day before that final result comes out. So if a website shows you named “11th class position holders 2026” today, those names are not from any board — be careful with such lists.
Why Your 1st Year Marks Still Decide Next Year’s Positions
Do not make the mistake of thinking your Part-I score does not matter for positions. It matters completely: your 1st year marks are exactly half of the 1,200-mark total that will decide the position holders of 2027. A student who scores strongly now is already halfway to a position next year.
This is why boards keep the system this way. One paper, one bad day, or one easy session should not decide a topper. Two full years of performance do. If your 1st year marks are high, protect that lead in Part-II. If they are lower than you hoped, Part-II is your genuine chance to climb — half the total is still to play for.

For students and parents who want this year’s announced toppers, below are the official position holders of the Intermediate Part-II result declared in September 2026. What Should 1st Year Students Do Now?
First, save a copy of your result card — you will need it for admissions all year. Second, if any paper looks wrongly marked, every board opens a rechecking window right after the result; apply within the board’s deadline instead of waiting. Third, and most important for toppers-in-waiting: start Part-II with a plan. The students whose names will be read out as position holders next year are being decided right now, in this year’s classrooms, on the strength of the marks you just received plus the ones still to come.
