The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the remaining HSC Part-I (Class 11) annual results for 2026, completing the Class 11 picture for Karachi students. The results announced on 26 October 2026 cover Pre-Medical, Science General, Commerce (Regular and Private), Arts (Regular and Private) and Home Economics. The earlier Science Pre-Engineering group had already been announced on 2 October 2026. If you are a Karachi Class 11 student, this guide tells you where the gazette is, how to find your roll number in it, what the group figures actually show, and why a new grading rule may change how you read your result.
Karachi’s board works differently from Punjab’s boards, and that difference causes most of the confusion on result day. BIEK does not release every group on one day, and it does not publish a simple name-wise online result page for these groups. It publishes a gazette — a large PDF organised college by college — and students search that PDF for their roll number. Knowing that before you start saves you from hunting for a result page that does not exist for your group.

Karachi Board 11th Class Result Kya Hai Aur Ye Kab Aaya?
BIEK releases its Intermediate results group by group across the year. Part-II (Class 12) groups ran from late July to mid-September 2026, and Part-I began with Pre-Engineering on 2 October 2026. The 26 October announcement therefore finished the Part-I set: it was not the first Karachi result of the year, and it was not a single-day result for all Karachi students. Students who had already checked Pre-Engineering on 2 October did not need to re-check on 26 October, and students in the newly announced groups had no result to check before 26 October.
The announcement was reported by 24NewsHD and carried in news reports on the same day, with the Controller of Examinations, Zarina Rashid, quoted on the group figures. That same-day news reporting, consistent across multiple outlets, is the basis for the date and figures in this guide. If a page claims a different announcement date for these groups, check it against biek.edu.pk’s own result declaration list before believing it.
Karachi Board 11th Class Result 2026: Group Figures
The figures below are the board’s reported registration, appearance and full-pass numbers for each group announced on 26 October 2026. “Passed in all papers” means the student passed every paper in the group — six papers for most groups, seven for Commerce and Home Economics. It is not the same as the overall pass rate, because many students pass some papers and not others, and those students appear in the gazette’s partial-pass sections rather than in the full-pass count.
| Group | Registered | Appeared | Passed all papers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Science Pre-Medical | 25,157 | 24,544 | 11,966 |
| Science General | 30,991 | 30,386 | 15,036 |
| Commerce Regular | 23,549 | 22,693 | 9,332 |
| Commerce Private | 1,485 | 1,413 | 628 |
| Arts Regular | 11,171 | 10,678 | 3,748 |
| Arts Private | 1,702 | 1,623 | 692 |
| Home Economics | 146 | 141 | 41 |
Two things stand out in those numbers. First, Science General was the largest group in this announcement, with more than 30,000 registered students, while Home Economics was by far the smallest, with only 146. Second, the full-pass counts are well below half in several groups — roughly 49% of appeared students in Pre-Medical and Science General passed all papers, about 41% in Commerce Regular, and about 35% in Arts Regular. That does not mean the other students failed everything. Under the gazette system, a student who passes five of six papers is recorded in the five-paper section, not as a full pass and not as a total failure. Read your own gazette entry before judging your result from a headline figure.
One small discrepancy to note honestly: one news report put the Special Candidates (Arts Regular) figures at 99 registered and 97 appeared, while another source lists 199 registered and 197 appeared, with both agreeing on 58 passing all six papers. Because the two sources disagree on that one small group, this guide does not present a special-candidates row as settled fact. If you are a special candidate, your own gazette entry is the authoritative record, not either secondary figure.

How to Check Your Karachi Board 11th Class Result 2026
Follow these steps in order. They work for every group in this announcement:
- Open biek.edu.pk and go to the Result Declaration page (listed on the site as recent result declarations).
- Find “Results of Annual Examinations 2026 Part-I” and tap your group — for example Science Pre-Medical Part-I, Commerce Regular Part-I, or Arts Regular Part-I. Pre-Engineering students should select the 2 October 2026 gazette, not the 26 October one.
- Open the gazette PDF for your group. It is a large file, organised college by college, and it may take a while to load on a slow connection. Download it rather than trying to read it in a browser tab that keeps reloading.
- Find your college’s section, then search for your roll number inside the PDF. On a computer press Ctrl + F; on a phone use your PDF viewer’s “Find in page” option.
- Read the entry carefully. The figure in brackets next to your roll number is your marks, and the heading above your block shows how many papers you passed. Check that you are in the right college section and the right group before concluding anything.
- If your roll number is missing, search twice. A typing slip is common, and the gazette lists passing candidates by section. If it is genuinely absent after two careful searches, contact your college — do not trust a third-party site that claims to show your result from a different database.
The board also says results can be checked through its official Android app, listed as “BIEK” on the Google Play Store. Use only the board’s own app. Apps and websites that copy the board’s name and ask for a fee or a full CNIC are not the board.
What Is the New Ungraded Rule in the Karachi Board Result?
This is the change most students will misunderstand, so read it carefully. For the 2026 Intermediate Part-I examinations, BIEK introduced a new grading system following a decision by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) and the Sindh government’s Universities and Boards Department. Under it, a student who scores less than 40% marks in any paper is declared “Ungraded” in that subject and is not considered successful in it. That student must retake the relevant paper, subject to the applicable examination requirements.
In practice, “Ungraded” is not the same as an old-style fail in every respect, and it is not a reason to panic before you read your gazette entry. It means that specific paper does not count as passed, even if your total marks look reasonable. A student who passes five papers and is Ungraded in the sixth has not passed the full group, and the sixth paper must be retaken. Equally, a student who sees “Ungraded” should not assume every paper is affected — the marking applies paper by paper, and your other papers keep their own results.
If you are Ungraded in a paper, your next steps are: confirm the paper from your gazette entry, ask your college about the retake or supplementary process and its dates, and do not pay any agent who promises to change the grading. The grading decision is a board policy, not something an individual can buy or negotiate.
What to Do After Checking Your Karachi Board Result
Your result is a starting point, not a verdict on your whole education. Use it in this order:
- Save a copy of your gazette page. Screenshot or save the PDF page showing your entry. You may need it for college records, rechecking questions or retake applications.
- If you passed all papers, plan your Class 12 enrolment with your college and keep your gazette copy safe. Your college will tell you what else it needs.
- If you are Ungraded in a paper, find the retake route early. Ask your college for the supplementary examination schedule and the application process. Waiting until the last week is the most common reason students miss a retake.
- If you believe there is an error in your entry, raise it through your college and the board’s proper channel, with your roll number and gazette page as evidence. Do not rely on social media posts to correct a board record.
- If your roll number is missing entirely, check the right gazette and the right college section twice, then contact your college before assuming the worst. A missing entry after careful checking is a college-and-board question, not something a website can resolve for you.

Karachi Board vs Punjab Boards: Why the Process Feels Different
Students who have friends in Punjab often wonder why Karachi results do not appear on a simple roll-number search page. The answer is structural: BIEK is a separate board with its own gazette system, its own group-by-group calendar, and its own grading policy for 2026. Punjab’s BISE boards publish their own result systems, and amuoba.pk already carries guides for those. A Karachi student should follow the BIEK gazette process in this guide, not a Punjab board’s SMS or website process, and a Punjab student should not use this guide’s steps for a BISE result. Mixing the two systems is how students end up searching the wrong board’s site on the wrong date.
The other difference is timing. Karachi’s Part-I groups did not share one result day: Pre-Engineering came on 2 October and the rest on 26 October. If you hear that “the Karachi result is out” in future, always ask which group and which date — the answer changes what you should open.
Stay Safe: Fraud Warnings for Result Students
Result season attracts fake result pages every year:
- The board does not charge a fee to show you the gazette. Any site asking for payment to “unlock” your result is a scam.
- Never share your full CNIC, a photo of your CNIC, or your roll number publicly when asking for help. A genuine helper can explain the process without your personal details.
- Only biek.edu.pk and the board’s own app are official result sources for BIEK. Lookalike sites that copy the board’s name are not the board.
- No agent can change your marks, remove an Ungraded marking, or add your name to the gazette. Anyone offering that for money is committing fraud.
Frequently Asked Questions
- When was the Karachi Board 11th class result 2026 announced? — The remaining HSC Part-I groups — Pre-Medical, Science General, Commerce, Arts and Home Economics — were announced on 26 October 2026. Pre-Engineering had been announced earlier, on 2 October 2026.
- Where do I check my BIEK 11th class result? — On biek.edu.pk, on the Result Declaration page, by opening the gazette PDF for your group and searching for your roll number. The board’s official Android app is the other official route.
- Why can’t I find a simple roll-number result page for BIEK? — BIEK publishes these results as a college-wise gazette PDF, not as a name-wise search page. You find your result by opening your group’s gazette and searching within it.
- What does “Ungraded” mean in my result? — Under the new 2026 grading system, scoring below 40% in a paper makes you “Ungraded” in that subject — not successful in it. You must retake that paper under the applicable examination requirements.
- How many students passed all papers in Pre-Medical? — 11,966 of the 24,544 students who appeared in Pre-Medical passed all six papers, out of 25,157 registered.
- My roll number is not in the gazette. What should I do? — Search twice, checking that you opened the right group gazette and the right college section. If it is still absent, contact your college with your details.
- Is the Karachi Board result the same as the Punjab board result? — No. BIEK is Karachi’s intermediate board, separate from Punjab’s BISE boards, with its own gazette system and calendar. Follow the BIEK process for a Karachi result.
- Can I check my result on a third-party website? — You can read news reports about the announcement, but your authoritative result is the gazette on biek.edu.pk. Third-party sites cannot change or guarantee your result.
- Do I need to pay to see my result? — No. The gazette on biek.edu.pk is the board’s official publication. Any site charging to show your result is not the board.
Final Words
The Karachi Board’s 26 October announcement completes the Class 11 picture for 2026, and the most useful advice for students is procedural, not emotional: open the right gazette, find your college section, read your entry paper by paper, and understand the new Ungraded rule before you judge your result. A full pass is worth celebrating, a partial pass with one Ungraded paper is a retake to plan — not a disaster — and a missing roll number is a question for your college, not a conclusion. Save your gazette page, ask your college about next steps early, and ignore anyone who offers to change the result for money.
